I have been very lucky to have been able to take some early evening Aerial Photography which is something we don’t often see in the Photography competitions.
Aerial Photography generally means that it is a photograph that has been taken at some elevation by either Kite, Balloon or plane – my choice was a Cherokee 4 seater plane.
The pictures that you are about to see have been taken through glass and perspex as that was the nature of the plane, I soon learned to wear dark clothing because reflections was a major problem.
Here is a selection from a flight I took in late 2008 from Barton Aerodrome up over Bury to Blackburn and back to Manchester via Radcliffe.
On this trip I got to see bomb craters on Haslingden Moor, Bury Football Club and even a Circus.
